The Pumpkin Run Tradition is Back
Aaaaannnndddd — they’re off! We’re speaking of the Gourdy’s Pumpkin Run runners, of course. After taking a year off, the annual pumpkin race is back at Keller’s in Oswego this Saturday, September 28.
Gourdy’s has partnered with Keller’s for many years to be the site of the only pumpkin run in Illinois. We love hosting this fun event, which brings thousands of runners to our Oswego Farmstand for a 5k run/jog/stroll/whatever-you-
like across our farm – through our fields, orchard, patch and more. It’s a little more challenging than running on a sidewalk – and some folks take it up a notch by actually running with a pumpkin! The first wave of runners get started at 9am this Saturday, and everyone is done by noon. There are still just a few spots remaining — if you want to join in the fun, click here! Runners are invited to stick around to enjoy our Fall Festivities, take home some apples or other unique and delightful Farmstand products, or just enjoy the clean, fresh air of our authentic, working farm.
If you are excited to come apple picking or to enjoy our Fall Festivities this Saturday, but want to avoid the additional crowds on Saturday morning – we recommend that you come after 12pm, when we expect everything to be back to normal. If you have purchased a ticket in advance for this Saturday’s Fall Festivities, feel free to come anytime you would like on that day. We’re open 9am-6pm, with last entry into the orchard or corn maze at 5:30pm.
We look forward to welcoming pumpkin runners, apple pickers, and fall-goers alike this Saturday!
